Birger Husted

is a Danish national and started his career in marketing and sales in Denmark. He traveled in 1987/88 as a member of the International performing group „Up with People“ through North America and Europe. In 1992 he moved to Prague, where he since has worked in consultancy and management positions in leading consultancy firms in the Czech Republic. He has played an instrumental role in guiding many Scandinavian companies in connection with their set up in the Czech and Slovak Republics. Since 1997 he has primarily focused on finding top management to international companies on the Central and Eastern European markets as well as guided them on organizational layouts and and provided their management teams with training in Cross Cultural Management.

Birger serves as a member of the board of the Nordic Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic since 2000. Furthermore he is running the Chambers political mentoring and lobbyism activities. Further he is a member of the Danish-Czech Business Forum, which promotes trade between the Czech Republic and Denmark, as well as member of the board of the Danish Business Club in the Czech Republic. From 2003 to 2005 he served as a member of the board of the Euro-Czech Forum, a joint organization of the Nordic, British, German, French and Dutch Chambers of Commerce, representing around 75% of Foreign Direct Investments in the Czech Republic and more than 1,2 mill. working places. Birger speaks Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, English, German and Czech. Birger started UniqueConsult in the Czech Republic in 2006 and was part owner of the firm. In 2014 he bought 100% of the shares of the company and changed the company name to Husted s.r.o. In his free time he is a singer in a rock band „Stormin'“ and a member of Rotary Club Prague International.
